The 5AT will be the world's first fully optimised "second generation" main line steam locomotive and will demonstrate the full capabilities and potential of modern steam locomotive design technology. We believe that it is the most exciting main line steam locomotive venture for well over 50 years. A lot is riding on the outcome - perhaps even the long-term future of steam traction on the main line.
To enable us to secure sufficient investor interest to ultimately achieve the key objective of setting up the SGS Loco DevCo, we plan to set up two key working parties, a Commercial Planning Working Party (CPWP) and a Marketing Planning Working Party (MPWP), made up of people with appropriate experience to complement that of current members of the 5AT Group. In particular we are looking for high profile individuals with suitable experience to head these two working parties (see the relevant links above for more details).
